Originally from Germany, Mark grew up in a g-fast powerboat family. He started his racing career in the early 90s in the European limited standup JetSki Class. In 2007 he became Germany’s only full-time professional power boat pilot. After numerous successful races in the European Honda formula 4 Stroke and Powerboat P1 Evolution class, he moved to the United States in 2010. Mark founded the Phatom Nine team with Kurt Jagel in 2011.
Tom began running fast boats at the age of 12 as an apprentice of Joey Imprescia, Tom started his powerboat racing career age 17. Winning many races in production classes. Tom became a team member of Phantom 9 in 2015.

2013, following a devastating crash at the Suncoast Grand Prix, the team completed the season with several first place wins and podium finishes.
